Dr Oyeyemi Temitayo Ifeoluwa

Dr Ifeoluwa Oyeyemi is a Senior lecturer in the Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Nigeria. She holds a B.Sc. (Ed.) Degree in Biology. She also obtained M.Sc and PhD in Zoology (Cell Biology and Genetics) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. During her PhD program, she received the DBT-TWAS Sandwich Fellowship Award tenable at the Bose Institute, Kolkata, India in 2013. She was an AREF-RFD Fellowship tenable at the United Kingdom. She is interested in unravelling the pathways driving the drug resistance in chronic diseases and developing strategies to mitigate them. She is widely travelled and has research collaborators in different parts of the world. Dr Oyeyemi is a recipient of the Best Women Researcher Award 2023 by Merck Foundation. She has been awarded several research grants to fund her research efforts. She has published several peer-reviewed articles in reputable international journals. She is a member of several learned societies. She is a Fellow of the Nigerian Young Academy.
